Damage in those days would be relative to what is there now... A lot of irrigated land. Buildings for what they are worth are mostly 1 story and well built....of course we now have the infiltration of gated communities... I owned a new home in Woodland which is not far from Winters in Yolo County for a few years...Hated it! HOT HOT HOT and if you were not into farming then you were either a Mexican illegal or an excommunicated wino from the Sacto or Coast areas...Anyone thinking that this area will become anything better than a lousy hot bedroom community should look at Davis not far away...Davis managed to plane well with lots of trees..lots of bikes...good education...co-operative communities...and still managed to keep prices reasonable...Thats the ethos of the area with exception of Vacaville, home of Charles Manson....I think he's still there anyway.....What a way to get a name for a town..
