I just can't seem to escape this board. Try as I might, Don's forecasts keep drawing me
Back.
Tonight it's Don's Olancha, CA forecast. On May 2, he had forecast an event would
Occur on May 7, 2002 (UT) at 36.1N 118.0W with Ml 2.0-3.0 (or 3.5 depending on
Which part of his forecast you read. This was to have been within 35 km and 2 days
Of the stated time and location.

Tonight SCSN is reporting the following earthquake:

O: 07MAY2002 02:02:23 UT 36.1N 117.9W ML=2.8 NNE of Coso Junction, CA

The forecast hit this event pretty near perfectly. Within 10 km of the location, the
Magnitude in the middle of the magnitude range and on the day expected.
Another HIT. And another congratulations to Don.

By the way, Don's second seismic alert window for Central California is now in
Effect - the swarm near San Juan Bautista may be interesting to watch. And there
Was a moderate, but short geomagnetic storm today, might have an effect.
