Re: CNSS vs NEIC; Lowell?

CNSS is supposed to include the NEIS data from AUTODRM, but seems to be way behind in doing so. They are also supposed to include other local data outside of California and Nevada, but that also does not appear to be happening. I'm not sure what the status of CNSS is at the moment. USGS was trying to start a new system last year to replace CNSS, which was not under USGS control. It may be on it's last legs and only a few people left to watch it. I don't think there is any point in merging the data from the two sets, though since NEIS data is supposed to be included in the CNSS listing. The only relatively complete daily catalog that I know of which contains data from all local and teleseismic networks is the one that is provided with the daily earthquake summary on this board each day. But I cannot say how long that can be maintained as an active catalog either.
