Hi Don:

>"When you start getting a lot of quakes in a short period of time (18 days) in a specific area it shows that there will be a lot instability in the area."

+ If the energy / instability is incoherent then maybe you'll get lots of smaller earthquakes (Mag. 3-4's range maybe) without the mag. 6+. (in the area you have identified).

>"Each quake I forecast could be a major quake. I have no way of knowing that at the time I make the forecast."

+ It appears that your thinking has developed along those lines to a degree....

>"I have some ideas, but not enough to make it a major forecast. "

+ This advisory may be seen by some as a "major forecast" ...(actually by me too but now I realize your position and that it is an "advisory" versus a "major forecast").

>"I had hoped that when I started making these forecasts that someone might have the magnitude. So far that person hasn’t come forward, or maybe that person doesn’t exist."

I think that person exists ... it may just be that the gears grind slowly along ... maybe something will show up in the next month or two.

>"Being out on the limb is nothing new to me. It does get a little lonely and sometimes it does get a little breezy."

+ Well maybe I'll add some weight (to the limb) by adding that Maybe the mag. 6+ will actually not be higher than about a mag. 5.5 with 4-5 much more likely (for the area indicated). I guess time will tell.
