Sorry to hear about the painting Petra.

I have some nifty pidture hangers that are supposed to be quake proof - they lock and have a little string to pull down on the locking mechanism when you need to remove the pictures.

As far as earthquake weather - I think its kinda funny - up by you guys you think: warm-moist - down here we think: hot-dry-still and quiet (not a chirp out of the birds or crickets) - Its typically when the Santa Ana winds (or Santana winds) have been blowing to warm it up and dry it all out. So is there a real quake weather? No matter how much I tell myself "no", when I sense that just roght weather I tell myself its earthquake weather!
