To add my 2cents, I see within the past 3 weeks the swarm of micro quakes has begun again in the LA basin. This has been since September that has been going. It definetly is worth watching now.

The Bay Area indeed has been quiet. One sometimes has to wonder if all that activity of the late 80s was a swarm in its own right or the build up to several decades worth of activity. At the time everyone thought it was just the begining, but maybe it was just a small interuption in the siesmic sleep since 06.
