Hi Don,

I consider you a member in full standing of the team, if not its de facto leader, but also, one of the most important members of EW (as few of us save for Lowell, Canie, and Roger, and Petra have the time, patience, and daily stamina to do what you do best, let alone post about it.)

IMHO, EW is the single best source of EQ forecasting out there. Why the need for a formal registry? Couldn't this be it? Canie, does this website have a files section or other appropriate section in which to build such a registry?

Much thanks again, Canie, for making this forum available to us all, and for consistently maintaining open-mindedness and impartiality. As a list owner, I know that is sometimes a hard razor's edge to straddle.

Don called me late last night with a prediction for N. of Santa Rosa. Petra, you might get your earthquake sooner than you'd think!. As you know better than I, Don is never too far off from any given prediction or advisory. Without doing the math, I have to surmise that he gets more *hits* than anyone else here, and, more importantly, he is always the consummate gentleman about it, never bragging about his success rate or tooting his own horn.

In the five or so years I've been on this board, based solely on Don's track record, I move that all future chocolate whatevers be sent to him regardless of the actual contest winner. A notch in one's belt should be good enough for the rest of us, even when the victory behind it is pryhic.

Now, if the prize were a case of Gordon Birsch or a trip overseas ...

Please keep up the good work, everyone. With tighter parameters, we might, as a group, really be onto something. And wouldn't *that* be fun? Free beer and chocolate for everyone!

Right now, though, I'm off to bed. (Cough, hack, croak.)

Cathryn
