Note Of Thanks For EQF

Good Evening EQF,

I would like to extend my thanks to you for your commentary this week on your methods and your sharing much dialog on the work you have been doing. For a considerable time I had asked many times for answers to some questions and seemed to fall upon a deaf ear. This week I feel we have reached the turning point and now I fully understand your position and wanted to let you know how much I appreciated your forthcoming comments.

While in the greater sense we may never agree on some issues, we have to understand that scientists as well as lay people don't always agree either. We form our own opinions about how we view the world, our place in it and how we view certain segments of the earthquake process.

Earthquake prediction will evolve like everything else in the world. A bit at a time, through a slow, but well thought out process that works, and in time, even if it takes one hundred years, it will arrive. While it will always be my opinion that some deaths from earthquakes today occur unnecessarily, that is life and there are some things you cannot change. Progress is very slow in the human victim element.

I have gotten a little off track of late on some other matters I wish to attend to. But the time spent here this week with some open dialog has been worthy of hearing and for that I am very thankful. I know you do have a limit on your personal time, just as the rest who participate here and I wanted to let you know, I do appreciate your efforts.

Thanks.....Petra
