Don't be so quick to give away the store, Don. You will recall that earthquakes off-shore are often pulled in towards land by the clustering of land-based seismic stations. Also, they are pulled south by a network of stations to the south. So from Northern California this event would appear to be southeast of where it actually is. The usual correction is about 50-100 km, that would put it more like 41N 128W - closer to your epicenter than to Petra's. Furthermore, it is out of Petra's lower magnitude range, making her probability higher for success. As for me, I'll wait for Roger's determination when NEIS publishes an epicenter for this event.
