Lowell; That was my first thought too. But compound probabilities tells us the odds on a particular series of results; 10 heads in a row, for example. In this case, what I want is a number representing their typical score, so an average would seem to be called for. Besides, one miss would be fatal! (n*n*0 = 0) Roger
