Hi EQF,

In science no one follows anyones anything. If you want to talk about a competitive field, this is it. This is the place where every single player is right. While some will agree with the correctness of some theory or hypotheses, they always add their own spin on the issue. They agree to disagree, to quote, add to, lend, blend, but surely it is not perfect unless it belongs to the person who has the floor or the last paper on the issue at hand.

Of course this is my very humble opinion. It comes from years of learning about those in this chosen field. I love them all dearly, but they are very competitive.
