That's a good article - I read that they say its every 500 years or so - so doing some simple math says that we shouldn't have to worry about anything for another 200 years... I wonder if this is true? I hope it doesn't lull anyone into a false sense of security. There must be some published materials or paleoseismic studies that go back further than a quake 300 years ago and one 1000 years ago? Or if there isn't then someone has an opportunity to do a bit more research (they are probably working on it) - I think you need more than 2 events to come up with an average. At least there's a budget for research up there. Canie
