Hard drives as a rule fail just before you do a backup. Happened to me more than once. Now I have a CD burner. My original work is safely stored, finally!

The other day my HD made an ugly sound and could not be found by Win98. Removed and replaced data cable and all was well again.

THEN I made the CD!
