Hi Petra - I keep checking the State Emergency site to see if they post any preparedness messages - http://www.edis.ca.gov/ - If the geologists get the state to issue some type of warning that's where we'd see it first. I don't think Gov Davis would go along with it - he tends to sit on the fence quite a bit. And after all, after the Hector Quake nothing happened when a warning was issued......

The way I'm looking at the situation is that if nothing happens by next Tuesday-wednesday (March 5-6) then its time to relax a bit (as much as we do relax about these things). I'm concerned about our area in Southern California with that Quake near Calexico.

I want to say to Tony that its a great thing you are prepared - that's all we can really do - get prepared and stay prepared - rotate supplies and such. Every family should have some sort of plan to get back together if they are separated (at work, school, etc)

There are a couple of links on the Earthwaves home page for preparedness - towards the bottom.
