The great information.

The respect (for the most part) from all the vocal participants.

The occasional humility.

The predominant solidarity.

The humor.

The cyber and actual friendships.

And last, but definitely not least, Canie's making this board available to all of us and keeping it in line so it doesn't degenerate into the sour tone of another list I shall not name.

Thank you all. I have learned so much about earthquakes from you in the last three years that it has changed my life. As they say, knowledge is power. I am no longer mortally terrified of every little tremor I feel.

Earthquakes have been my primal fear since I was a child, but facing my fear by learning about them and understanding how they play out has set me free. I no longer lie awake at night waiting for the earth to move.

That is my husband's sorry predicament. (Just kidding.)
