I'm in the Santa Clarita Valley in Bouquet Canyon. This is approximately 35 miles north-northwest of Los Angeles.

The eartones occurred as follows: (1) Saturday late morning steady audible tone in left ear at about 9kHz loud enough to block out other sound lasted approximately 1 and 1/2 minutes; (2) Sunday late afternoon VERY loud eartone as I was driving on the 14 Freeway north, just north of San Fernando Road exit, lasted for a solid two minutes, mid range, changing frequency to high pitched, loud enough to be blaring; (3) Monday - today - two occurences, one at approximately 8:40am and the other at approximately 2:15pm, both extremely high pitched and much more faint - tone shifted to high pitch and continued to increase in pitch until it became inaudible. Both occurences lasted approximately 30 seconds.

Maybe I need to have my head examined, eh? :-)
