The link will take you to a search engine where you could put in the lat/long of the epicenter and pull down the frequency of swarm events. IMHO, there is a time element to the quake process which dictates that any shocks that are at a maximum of about 35-40 days both before or after a large shock are separate events altogether. Since years have gone by since Northridge...this is a separate event. So I don't buy the Northridge aftershock explanation. However, I do agree that such an explanation will soothe an anxious public that may be worried about more quakes on the way. Just my .02 worth.
