Re: About ULF? |
Hi Scorpio, I don't routinely follow Frank's work currently, but when he used to send out e-mail notices it made it a lot easier. He forecasted the Hector Mine quake 3 days in advance, so I think he deserves some respect in this area. Frank is a very nice man, he works hard on his project and he just delivers the facts in the way he sees them from his method. He's not an alarmist and in the four years I've watched him and have gotten to know him through the Internet medium, he is one person I can say I like very much. In 1998 Syz had an entirely different atmosphere than it does today. Mostly it was a serious group of amateurs working together in gathering data and sharing what they knew and rather bouncing ideas off of the other members. It was fun and the personalities were wonderful. Jim Berkland played a much larger role in teaching the group at the time and all of us learned a lot from him about many area's of science and about humanity as well. I was remembering the other day how we would talk about what we liked to eat while we were waiting for the quakes to roll in. It was really funny. But like all good things, moments in time, changes occur and what once was fun, exciting and a real joy becomes something else. We are scattered here and there around the net now. But there are a few old members I miss who have gone on to do other things and don't have time to participate anymore. (To Daniel, Dyan, Ken and Stargazer I miss you all.)
