ULF/ELF and ear tones |
Being in the music business, I know that the accepted human hearing range is within 20hz-20khz. It's been shown that some people can detect even lower or higher frequencies. The monitors at earthtracker are set to 20hz (ELF range), and the data from the Stanford scientists prior to the Loma Prieta quake observed signals in the 10hz (ULF) range. Is there something I don't know about why the monitors are set to 20hz vs 10hz? In any case, after considering the range of frequencies, I can only believe that the low frequency ear tones, described to me by the users of this board, have a possible and reasonable connection to earthquakes.
