OT Questions for Canie, Lowell and Bob
Posted by Nancy Hugo on January 18, 2002 at 23:00:01:

I hope I'm not breaking protocol here, but would like to ask if I might share information posted here with others?

Canie...first I wanted to ask if you're okay with this, providing I get an okay from Lowell? If so,
should I leave out where I pbtained the information, or may I tell others that it came from the EarthWaves board?

Lowell....the specific information I'm interested in
is that which you posted regarding the effects of seismic events in Papua New Guinea on the San Andreas. Would you mind if I share this with a
Dr. Charles Lumsden from the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto, with Dr. James Phelps from Samaritan Regional Mental Health, and with the members of two email lists
I belong to. The first is a list for mostly professionals who are interested in suicidology.
The second list is for friends and family members of individuals who have ended their life by suicide.

I know you're away from the list at this time....but I'm hoping you might see this message if you should happen to check in.

Bob....not too long ago you asked of there is any point in the records you are keeping regarding your mental/physical symptoms associated with solar/seismic activity. I'm not sure yet where this will go, but Dr. Lumsden and his associates are
involved in a wireless bipolar mood mapping project. They are using a palm OS hand-held computer with integrated cell phones to study mood swings....in forty individuals who have bipolar disorder. I've been in email contact with Dr. Lumsden....he seems very interested in biosensitivity....calls this condition geophysical
entrainment. At the end of this month, he anticipates having a website up regarding this project.

I forwarded some information and graphs that
Charlie Plyler sent to me in October 2000 when
I was trying to figure out if ELF signals may have played a role in the suicides of two children. Dr. Lumsden expressed interest in them and has shared them with the other researchers involved in the project. He has told me that geophysical entrainment might be an area they will be looking into in the near future.

Hold on to your data.

Best thoughts to all,
Nancy
