Hi All, I thought I'd catch up on ear tones matches and below are three. Just for the record I have posted the e-mails I have sent to Don, so there is no question on anyone's behalf about what was said. These have also been sent to Canie for verification. It is interesting to note that the quakes up in this area did not arrive in the order heard, which is interesting. Also, these will demonstrate when dealing with quakes in close proximity, their locations are sometimes difficult to place and especially with short, low magnitude quakes. The quake which occurred near Angwin lies in the center between Healdsburg and Yountville, but the same mileage distance from my home. But the surprise of the day was the quake South of Africa. I really did not expect to locate anything even remotely close, yet I did get the correct continent. All of it together though does say one thing, there are tone matches, but also it will take a lot of work to refine these. Thanks to the idea of a Circle Map, mapping quakes at 40 mile radius' from my home, it is much easier at a glance to determine possible epicenters. In other words, if I hear a four seconds, heard with my left ear I have possible epicenters at Ferndale or Redding or Lassen and with my right ear, Markleeville, Yosemite or just south of The Pinnacles. From knowing the geology of the area, I can now make a selection of which area they seem closest to, however, I have a lot of geology to learn yet. In time with paying closer attention and actually taking the matches that have been developed I will in time learn which area the tones match, whereas today, it is not as clear as I would prefer. Thank you Roger Hunter for your efforts in this Circle Mapping Project. Petra 1.6 2002/01/06 23:40:42 38.405N 122.620W 7.2 9 km ( 6 mi) ESE of Santa Rosa, CA

This places the possible quake either in Healdsburg or Yountville area's. Petra

It was moderately loud. My impression is that it is possible it is in the continent of Africa and may be close to Egypt. If there is a match to this quake it should be a whopper. Petra
