Hi Bob and All,

I would have to agree with your sentiments in regard to what we have learned from each other in this past year. It has been very fruitful.

Don and I were having a discussion last night and we both agreed that we felt great strides were made this year in a better understanding of ear tones. I think the most interesting one occurred a few months ago when we had an X-flare arrive at the same time I heard an ear tone for the Mendocino Triple Junction, with the quake arriving at the same time. That was fascinating. Had it not been for Lowell I would have never made the connection.

Canie, many thanks to you for holding us all together. I wouldn't want to be a message board moderator as it is a most difficult job. But you do it splendidly.

To everyone here, thanks for your contributions and your companionship along the way. As each day unfolds one never knows what topic may bring us closer to understanding the interesting facts and observations about the dynamics of earthquakes. Hardly a dull moment.

Wishing All of You a Happy New Year and Lowell, the sooner you return to your regular posting, the better. Your daily reports are sorely missed.

Petra
