Hmmmm....... Lets see - research tells me that that version of a map is basically limited to display of global, discontinuous data distributions like hydrocarbon and mineral resources, etc. I spent some time a couple years ago learning ArcView - I was pretty good with it - I brought the programs up a couple weeks ago and didn't have a clue what to do anymore! It does do mapping and analysis pretty good - a lot of compnies use it. I wasn't overly impressed as there seemed to be a lot of bugs in it and it didn't act like you'd expect a program to act. Or I should say it didn't conform to 'windows' standards. What type of discontinuous data needs mapping? Number of deaths due to earthquakes over the last 100 years? A colorful map of that data might be interesting. Versus number of deaths in car accidents or weather related phenom or starvation or ?? What type of environmental data could we do... Water pollution, drought (might be continuous...) I know Roger - you're just bored and like to tinker around with stuff right? Canie
