Thanks for the details. It appears the Vanatu quake occurred before the Pacific Ocean quake and the location is not the same. Here's the NEIC listing for Vanatu for comparison:

2001/12/27 10:54:51 14.71S 167.27E 153.5 6.2 A VANUATU

Due to the holidays the other quakes will make it to the list later, or perhaps not. Some of the quakes on the other site never make it to the NEIC, especially the one's in Italy.
