Bolinas Quake

Hi All. The Bolinas forecast for 12/19/2001 is clearly a miss, but this morning's 2.5Ml quake in the area of Fort Ross does give me some concern. This isn't the quake I was looking for, but the fact that it occurred where it did when it did tells me that this fault segment is definitely under stress.

As to how much stress and when it will most likely break has still yet to be discovered. My data gives me the most probable time and location, but can't give a guarantee that it will occur on the forecasted date. I feel in order for a run of the mill type earthquake to become a major quake its going to require an additional kicker such as a FFAs or geomagnetic storm, or a combination of both. Take Care…Don in creepy town
