When I was a kid in Missouri they taught us that in addition to Yellowstone there was a hot spot in Arkansas that was responsible for the Hot Springs in Hot Springs and other phenomena such as the old volcano that is the diamond pipe in Murfeesboro.

This hot spot could be percolating and contributing to the swarms.
