Hi Billion, Due to the friction caused by solar gases, all the planetary orbits are actually shrinking. Also, if the earth's orbit had been knocked out a ring, the damage to the planet would have been immense and would show up in our geological records. Further, the earth's orbital speed would have had to have been slowed down considerably if it moved out a notch. Otherwise we would fly out of the solar system much like breaking the string on a tether ball. I'll have to reserve my support on this theory. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
