I think I saw that movie:-) Very esoteric Petra...Anyway if Michael was talking about EQ's alone then I would have to agree....as to being a safe place. Otherwise...I have read many a book on the Lakota and Dakota Indians and some are very romantic sounding...but I have been through both N and S Dakota many times...some driving, some hitch-hiking and a couple times on train. It seems to me to be a rather hmmmm..desolate area. Did I spell that right? Anyway it is hard for me to see back in time when the Native Americans lived there by the thousands...I guess I would call the area rolling plains...but as far as being safe...heck one could pick what they think is the safest place and then forget about additional problems...take Florida..

I have a long time subscriber who for a number of years has been passing along information aoubt what he considers to be the next big one..and Florida was the name. Then there were those tsunami news stories about the southeast coast... essentially I don't think anyone can tell where the next big one will be. Everyone has a guess but there are a lot of locations..Remember back in 1964 in Anchorage? Alaska has quakes but that one kill many people in Northern California...
