It would be my guess that most people and probably quite a few different types of animals have some level of direct or indirect sensitivity to geomagnetic storm activity. And as with many phenomena, some people will be more sensitive to the effects than others.

There appears to be some solid interest in this subject matter. And, there are some people posting notes to the Yahoo EarthWaves board who appear to know a fair amount regarding solar and geomagnetic storms. So, it looks like something could probably be done regarding this as time permits.
