Just a note on that Baja quake - this seems to be the same region that had a swarm not too long ago. I found it! May 2000 there was considerable activity down there. I found this bit from Trinet posted in May 2000 09:27 PDT, Tuesday, May 02 There was a swarm south of the U.S./Mexico border overnight, the largest events of which were felt in Imperial Valley. The swarm included a M4.0 at 11:45 pm, a M3.7 at 12:06 am, and a M4.0 at 12:16 am, accompanied by a number of smaller quakes. These magnitudes are preliminary. The epicenters are all about 41 miles south-southeast of Calexico, or 48 miles southwest of Yuma. We will post more details later today. I believe there was a bit more activity after that initial swarm. Interesting now there's the 5.2 in the same area. The quakes last May were followed by a 3.9 and a 3.6 in the Brawley Seismic Zone so we might see a repeat of the activity only a little larger since today's quakes are a little larger - lets just hope it doesn't break loose that sleeping giant.
