which makes me perennially off-topic when I try to communicate with people interested in quake prediction."

I was wondering if you were referencing people who have symptoms before earthquakes or perhaps symptoms from solar flares, or something along those lines.

I'm certain your posts would never be an intrusion. It is always beneficial to look at all interests and thus we can learn more than what's in the textbooks.
