Well heres the deal...I was in on the move when UC changed to the USGS system...I still have the ear of the seismologists at UC. They told me specifically that there were difs. in telemetry between them and Menlo Park. The idea was to tie into the USGS system so things were more than likely to look the same. Without the tie-in now...it is likely that Berk will differ. They have two separate nets..and the work they did in some areas surpassed the USGS machines...That is my opinion....Berk is humble...They think USGS has better telemetry..The truth is that Berk spends much more time analyzing Q's....I am glad we still have Berk! Now mind you this is just MY observations and notes...and I only speak for me...
