I heard something too around that same time period (but didn't bother to write it down).

Interestingly, it lasted about 5 seconds too and was in my left ear only. It also sounded like an "ear block" (like covering the ear or something...). The tone part was weak and seemed to fade out/away. I don't usually even hear (or pay attention) to tones...but started to recently. (I might hear one every month or so...that's about it).

What frequency do you think yours was ?
