Hi Chris in the burbs,

Don and I are planning our itinerary for the upcoming AGU event and trying to narrow down which lectures we want to attend is difficult because you have to read those abstracts to know what you want to put on the agenda.

However, regardless of the lecture list, the most enjoyable part of the AGU is to sit and eat with our scientists. We have 3 events we will attend and these may be the best of the events in SeismoLand. But in the free material area, the price one pays to go may be equally matched by the number of free books one comes home with.

But now that you've been poking around on the net and finding it takes a lot of time to go from one area to the next, just imagine having them on disk? I would like to encourage everyone to join in the 150,000th visitor contest, so the winner can enjoy reading the abstracts absent the time it takes on the web.

Petra
