Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

The Sun has been out here in Northern, California and fortunately in the world of earthquakes, they seem to be taking a rest on this holiday, like the rest of us.

Tomorrow morning I'll be heading down to LA by plane and I'm going to keep a keen eye out of the window and see if I can find those three mountain peaks along the Carrizo Plain with the strange comma shapes on top. Hopefully the clouds will open so I can have a better look at them again. The weather forecast isn't very promising, but as we all know, the weatherman can be wrong sometimes. I wonder if those little GPS units work while on airplanes? It would be great to get a coordinate on those peaks.

Which just reminds me. Don, this could be your ultimate test if you're up to it. Got any predictions for LA on Friday or Monday? Ensenada, Mexico for Saturday? Wanna go out on a limb? Yeah, I can fry chicken if you get a hit on any of them.

I've still got two uncorked bottles of champagne in the fridge. Nothing would please me more than to open them and toast a man who's developing quite a record of success in forecasting earthquakes. Yeah Don, that's you.

May you all be blessed with a bountiful feast and a day to do whatever makes you feel most joyous!

Petra
