Re: in Columbia MO

I don't keep up with the Missouri search for faults like I should. I know it made the press in this area when they found they had a fault line next to a nuclear reactor. When it was built no one knew about the fault. Chris and all remember the difference in soil type out here. When we have a quake we shake for large areas. I had a sib living in Boonville (just down the interstate from Columbia) that had at least two earthqakes rattle dishes between 1974-1989 that I remember. Back then most people weren't aware of NMSZ. Also it is interesting now in the southern half of Mo. and SE Kansas, SE Oklahoma, due to the rise in sink holes. The drought if impacting rapid develpment, especially in the mined area. Chris, when the wife gets there take a day trip and check out the Hermann wine country, just a short hop and skip for you.
