The Colorado Rockies are one of the best spots to see phenomena like this. The
light pollution is minimal and if you can find a good perch, you can get one of the
best sky shows on earth. I leave near a state park which is renowned for it's tall
rock canyon. At my perch from 2-4 am this morning about 300 feet above a vertical
drop into the river below, and the nearest light more than 10 miles away, the view
was absolutely breathtaking. For much of that time, there was at least one notable
meteor per second. I'm tired today, but happy to have not slept much last night.
