Magnitude: 3.0-4.0+
From: 11/19/2001UTC - To: 11/23/2001UTC
Location: Baha, Caliornia
Lat: 32.1N - Long: 114.9W - Range: 40Km

Hi All. The quakes in the area of Bombay prompted me to do a search for an area that might be ready for something a little larger.

The only one I could find that has a good chance of occurring is at 32.1N/114.9W. This is about 20Km SSE of Estacion Coahuila, Baha, California.

The magnitude on this should be 3.0 to 4.0, but in the event of a geomagnetic storm 2 to 4 days before the forecasted date the magnitude could be a little larger.

It should occur on 11/21/2001. The widow will open on 11/19/2001 and will close on 11/23/2001. The radius on this will be 40Km.

The current data for the Bombay area shows nothing inside a 58 mile radius. The trigger (s) lay outside that radius. Of course there is always the chance that these quakes are related to the most recent geomagnetic storm?

I have also sent out some inquires regarding the indication of an increase in mass (magma) at Hot Creek in the Mammoth Lakes area. The most recent swarm of quakes and the indication of an increase in mass are in the same general area. This is also close to where the 6.0+ quakes occurred in 1980 in which one quake was thought to have broken the dike at the southern rim of the calderas. I will post as soon as I get a response.
