Mammoth Lakes Magnetic anomaly

Don (and anyone else wishing to make a stab at it)., what do you make of the sudden change in the magnetics at Long Valley over the past day - this is associated with a minor swarm of earthquakes and with the Ml 2.4 today - is the subterranean magma moving, and could we be in for renewed activity in this area? What do you think? The magnetic data is found at: http://quake.wr.usgs.gov/research/deformation/data/mam.mag.gif P.S. Normally I don't pay much attention to this magnetic data as it usually simply mirrors the variations in the geomagnetic field. But right now, the geomagnetic field is extremely quiet, so this is indeed an anomaly that may be related to magma movement.
