Don's Parkfield prediction and today's Coalinga earthquake (Ml 2.8)
Posted by Lowell on November 12, 2001 at 17:18:15:

While Don's Mammoth Lakes event came in just under the wire, the
Parkfield event today occurred just as Don's window was opening for
an event in that area. NCSN is giving the following parameters to
this afternoon's earthquake in the general Parkfield region:

O: 12NOV2001 23:53:01 36.1N 120.2W MD=2.8 NCSN ENE of Coalinga, CA

Don had predicted an event of Ml 2.4-3.5 between Nov. 12 and 16 at
35.8N 120.5W. This afternoon's event lies slightly outside the
40 km limit, but matches all other parameters well. Should we
expect more of these in the next several days, Don, or is this it?

Don's prediction had read:

Parkfield, California Earthquake Forecast
Posted by Don In Hollister on November 07, 2001 at 10:03:51:

Magnitude: 2.4-3.5
From: 11/12/2001PDT - To: 11/16/2001
Location: Parkfield, California
Lat: 35.8N - Long: 120.5W - Range: 40Km

Hi All. Looking for a 2.4 to 3.5 at 35.8N/120.5W. Would you believe that
this is about 16Km SW of Parkfield. To bad it's not the big one they have
been looking for.

It should occur on 11/14/2001. The window opens on 11/12/2001 and will
close on 11/16/2001. The radius is 40Km.

This forecast will be subject to updates as more data becomes available.
Take Care...Don in creepy town
