Ear tones

It is possible that many people who are "earthquake sensitive" detect high or low frequency tones in one ear or the other (or perhaps both?) before an earthquake. The high frequency ones may have a duration of between 5 to 30 seconds.

How those "sounds" get into the body is not known as far as I am aware. One theory proposes that it may at times involve a secondary hearing system which is linked with the our ears' motion and position sensors.

I do not know what type of electromagnetic wave is responsible for those sounds. However, some pencil shape laboratory devices called "cell disrupters" which are used by biologists to emulsify liquid samples produce a signal which sounds the same as that high frequency earthquake related sound. And it can probably be heard only by people who are earthquake sensitive. I believe that those devices contain a quartz crystal which vibrates at around 1 million cycles per second in response to some type of electromagnetic power source.

The high frequency earthquake sound may be heard in one ear and then again in the other a little over 6 hours later which suggests to me that there is some type of polarity involved. The cell disrupter generated sound can be heard in both ears at the same time.

These are my personal opinions.
