Too bad about the ticket. I hate that law we have here in CA. My theory is even though the pedestrians have the right away, at least be considerate, look both ways and when the cars are fairly distant then cross! I hate this jazz of waiting until the cars are literally right on top of the crosswalk and deciding to stroll right on out. It happens to me all the time when I'm driving down busy Wilshire here in LA through Santa Monica. I'll be right on top of a cross walk and some idiot starts crossing. One time I slammed on my branks and the guy looked at me as if I was crazy. Yeah, law is law, but at least be a considerate pedestrian!

It is about to rain here in LA as well. That is just as newsworthy here as an earthquake, lets hope the faults stay quiet as the media wouldn't know what to do with 2 big stories of nature here!
