Don and I have been banting about the thoughts of whether this segment of the fault near Coalinga may be ready to take on a 5 about now and well its anyone's guess.

It has been 18 years since the last quake and if Coalinga fits into the "averaged window" for quakes such as Parkfield, 11 - 22 years, then perhaps Parkfield will have another miss and Coalinga will be the epicenter again.

I am most intrigued at the recent cluster of quakes and have to wonder if they are going to just die out as they usually do, or not. This geo storm is really moving things along, so it may not be outside the realm of possibilities.

Just gotta put your feet up, watch the data flow in and see what happens.
