I do hear from Susan Hough from time to time, but like a lot of researchers these
days, she is shuttling back and forth between projects. For a while it was New
Madrid, then southern California, then back to Mammoth Lakes and Coso - it
all depends on what the USGS prioritizes at the time. At least she maintains
a calm sense of curiosity, which is very difficult sometimes when you don't know
where the next dollar is going to take you.
There is a difference between the USGS at Pasadena and the TriNet at Pasadena.
SCSN is not run by USGS but does cooperate with them on various projects. Susan
Hough is USGS, LJ and KH are not (unless things have changed lately).
