Re: EDG's China forecast - what do you think ?

Hi Lowell,

Firstly, it doesn't sound like a prediction or a forecast and the range is so broad, I doubt anyone could really do anything with it.

It would be much the same as if anyone said there could be an earthquake coming in Los Angeles and for the folks to watch for precursors there, but then they might want to look elsewhere, because it might not be there at all. Also if indications are that this might not be a destructive earthquake, then why would this give them cause to look?

So the question of course remains, did they look? If so, did they find anything? Do you think they'll tell anyone about their findings? I don't think so.

Seems its a non-prediction, prediction. IE: Something might happen near a place, or not. If it doesn't happen there, look elsewhere.

Inasmuch as EDG does post here, is there any reason he didn't wish to share this prediction with us as well as the Chinese? Suppose some folks who are readers here have friends in China. They might have chosen to send them an e-mail or what have you to let them know something may happen and perhaps they should prepare? Seems one could get more mileage out of this than just sending e-mails to the Chinese predictors, who ever they are.

I think the other thing we have to keep in mind is that the Chinese for ages have become accustomed to looking for precursors in nature. For them, it is an everyday occurrence. Sometimes it works, sometimes otherwise. But it is a natural way of life.

People in California do this as well, though at times it doesn't seem so obvious. But if you talk to people after an earthquake so often they will tell you their dog was barking wildly and they knew something was about to happen. Works the same for people who have rabbits and birds. Even fish jump up before folks feel earthquakes.
