I just tried using IE6 and mine works... I'm looking at some of the settings - these might be related:
(from Tools Menu-> Internet Options -> Advanced Tab)
I have these checked:
Enable page transitions
Enable third-party browser extentions
reuse windows for launching shortcuts
Use HTTP 1.1

Also - these all appear to be the defaults as I haven't changed them....I hope this helps.
