i'll admit that i'm a little nervous about any pending large quake...but knowing more and understanding how it all works makes it a little easier to stomach. i'm originally from south texas, where there's little more to worry about that a severe thunderstorm, the occasional tornado and its dime-sized hail.

i think i could almost appreciate a large quake if i were in the middle of a field or something...sans the possibility of something falling on me. the subject itself fascinates me.
