Earthquake forecasting is presently just a "keep it current" type effort. In fact, I need to update my forecast chart because it looks like the expected Japan to Indonesia area activity might be approaching. Lots of low and medium intensity signals these past few days.

You could check on how to get Fortran to generate charts etc. if you want to focus on using Fortran for future work. There are probably certain libraries that need to be linked. And I don't have time at the moment to learn how to do that.
