That forum sign up procedure was actually developed for forums where there might be hundreds or thousands or people who want to post notes.

Since so few people will probably be posting notes to the forum as is the case with the present forum it would probably be easier for all involved to have people simply send you an E-mail note when they want to get permission to post.

If that means 20 E-mail notes I don't think that that would be too many requests to manage. I always have trouble reading those verification code characters. Yours are easier to read than most. But it still takes some guessing regarding exactly what character is being displayed.
