You're right, I will say NO.

None of those advantages concern me in the least.

I'm switching to Fortran (gradually) for reasons of speed and price. I left it for TB to get graphics but Fortran now has graphics libraries and is vastly faster.

And it's free for personal use.

A good Fortran manual is NOT free and is in fact absurdly expensive.
